I got a chance to field test one of my knives today. Earlier in the month, I skinned a coyote with one of my knives. Coyotes usually leave me reaching for a sharp knife by the time I’m done, but my custom knife still cut hairs from my hand after skinning th coyote. Without sharpening, I took it on a deer hunt this morning. I was able to shoot a medium sized six point white tail, nothing special, but tasty. Using the same knife, I gutted, skinned, quartered, and deboned/proccessed the entire deer without sharpening.
Added: I took the same knife out this weekend, and skinned two more deer and quartered one of them, still without sharpening.
That’s the difference between a Fry Custom and knives from the store!
